Olympus executives plead the Fifth about deadly outbreaks tied to scopes

Three senior executives at scope maker Olympus Corp., which is under federal investigation for its role in superbug outbreaks, repeatedly invoked their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination when questioned recently about internal company emails.

We are representing Theresa Bigler with a wrongful death claim against Olympus Corp. after her husband died in 2013, following being infected by one of its contaminated medical scopes at Virginia Mason Medical Center.
